中学生、高校生バスケットボールプレーヤーのためのプロテイン3つ
一言でプロテインと言っても色々な種類があるので、どれを選べば良いのか迷ってしまいますよね。
それぞれの目的にあったプロテインを紹介します。
1ジャンプ力や俊敏性上げたいなら
パワフルな筋肉をつけながら、それを持続させるスタミナもつけられるのが特徴のプロテインです。
筋肉をつけるための「ホヘイプロテイン」スタミナを持続させるための「BCAA（分岐鎖アミノ酸）」がバランス良く含まれています。
2筋肉づくりを目指すなら
当たり負けしない強く大きな筋肉づくりをしたいなら「ホエイプロテイン」がオススメです。

「体の大きさ or 筋量を維持しながらスピードも高めていくフィジカル作りを意識していますね。強さもスピードも追求していきたいので。トレーニングも大事ですけど、体づくりには睡眠や食事も影響してくるので、その辺りも意識しています。自分は人よりも大きいので、食事にプロテインやサプリメントを摂取して補っていますね」

日本代表のエース渡嘉敷来夢選手も練習後に意識してプロテインを飲んでいます。トレーニング後に飲む理由としては消耗した体を回復させ、筋肉をキープさせるためです。
阿部 友和選手の場合
トレーニングに必要不可欠なタンパク質はしっかり摂るよう心がけています。プロテインは毎日 3 回、トレーニング前後と就寝前に摂取しています。

プロテインを飲むときの注意点
プロテインを飲むだけではダメ
当たり前ですが、プロテインは筋肉増強剤ではないので、飲んでいるだけでは体が大きくなったり強くなることはありません。
日々、トレーニングをしっかりと行い食事と睡眠をとった上でプロテインを摂ることが大事です。
飲むタイミングは
練習やウエイトトレーニング後30分以内が「ゴールデンタイム」と言われ飲むのがベストな時間帯です。
トレーニング直後はもっとも筋肉がダメージを受けた状態です。体はダメージを受けたところを以前よりパワーアップした状態に補強しようとするので、そのタイミングでたんぱく質（プロテイン）を補給することが効率良いとされています。
たんぱく質の他に摂ると良い栄養素は
バスケットボールは体力的に消耗が激しいスポーツなので、エネルギー源である炭水化物（糖質）が豊富な主食と、豊富なおかず、乳製品が大事です。
練習後にはおにぎりや肉まんなどの捕食もオススメです。
まとめ
中・高校生のバスケットプレーヤーに不足しがちなのが、たんぱく質です。
もちろん、普段の食事からたんぱく質を摂ることは可能ですが1日に摂った方が良いたんぱく質の量は体重1kgあたり1gといわれています。なので、体重50kgなら50gという計算になります。
もしその量を食事で摂ろうと思うと大変な量になってしまいます。
そこで低脂肪なプロテインで効率良くたんぱく質を摂っていくのが良いでしょう。
